This was my first project under the merchant/seller side of Venmo. I was tasked with creating the onboarding experience for sellers who have registered businesses instead of sole proprietors which involves more sensitive data that we need to collect.
The scope of the project was just for registered businesses, however I approached this problem holistically and created a framework that aligns all business profile sign up experiences.
We continued to monitor and optimize this experience to increase conversion rate with proven results.

Some users use Venmo to exchange money for their goods and/or services. They might be receiving money from friends for lunch, while also accepting payments for their business. Transactions are all mixed which makes it difficult for sellers to manage bookkeeping. Buyers are also hesitant in paying a seller they do not know, and want to confirm that the seller and business is legit before doing so.
